We are well stocked on flip-folders and lyres as well as all the lubricants you may need if you (ahem..) didn't get that horn out too often over the summer!

Our new e-commerce web site is up and running! This site will allow you to order products directly from us at any hour of the day. We can ship them to your home for a small fee or deliver them directly to you at school for free!

Our repair shop is scrambling to finish all of the school instruments that need to be delivered next week. As a result any repairs coming it at this time will have a wait of about two weeks. Any instruments purchased or rented from us are exempt from this backlog.

Here's hoping you had an excellent summer and are looking forward to a great school year!

Summer news from The Horn Section!

Summer is upon us! Things slow down a bit here during the summer...except for the repair shop! We have not counted the total number of instruments in for repair but I'm certain it will be the usual 200+ school instruments and the normal walk-in business continues as well. As some of you know we are short handed a bit this summer due to Mike's stroke so turn around time will be affected. Try not to wait until the last minute to get those repairs in here!

Mike is progressing in his recovery. It is a tedious task and I'm certain he would like to hear from any well wishers.

WEB SITE NEWS! We will soon be launching our e-commerce site. It is designed to give our customers another method of getting their supplies ordered and paid for at any time and still give the convenience of free delivery directly to the student at school.

NEW PRODUCTS: The new Pearl Piccolo PFP-105E is getting great reviews. It is an instrument that can be used for marching band but has a sound that blends beautifully in the concert hall as well. The MSRP is $1,500 and we sell them for $995.00. We also have in some of the new Eastman trumpets that are proving to be a great value.

Springtime!

Well it maynot quite feel like spring yet but it is just around the corner! They have plenty of work to keep them busy through the start of school!

We just received the new Peterson "Body Beat" metronome. Although you can listen to it like a traditional metronome it also comes with a clip that you place against your body. The clip pluses at the tempo set on the metronome. After using it briefly this morning I can see that it certainly creates an immedite awarness of the beat. Rather than splitting you aural awarness between what you are playing and what the metronome is doing you can really internalize the beat and focus on your music. It will be obvious to you pretty quickly when you stray from the pluse. Come in and check it out!

It's never too young to start! Here is a great shot of Neila--the daughter of our freinds Tim and Debbie McGinley going through her daily routine at The Horn Section! She did happen to mention that the mouthpiece was a bit big for her!!

The Horn Section

The Horn Section offers the finest quality instruments and accessories.
